Sustainable solutions to Nigeria’s prosperity contained in Tinubu’s strategic blueprint, says group

A group, The Mandate Movement (TMM), has appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with the current administration to reap the dividends of democracy.

The group made the call during a media briefing heralding the rebranding and restructuring of the group.

It will be recalled that TMM is an All Progressive Congress (APC) mobilisation group established in 1998 to extend campaigns to all the nooks and crannies of the country. Renowned politicians, technocrats and professionals head the group.

Speaking at the briefing which converged, the group 377 ward coordinators, 57 Local Government Area coordinators, 57 women leaders, 57 youth leaders, the state Apex leader, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, said the briefing is given the necessity to maintain the tempo of the group activities and assist the government in enlightening the public on policies and programme of the government.

He appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the current economic condition. “The house has collapsed already, we are rebuilding and It will not take long before Nigerians will begin enjoying the largesse of democracy,” he said.

He added that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is resolute in building the country and TMM will ensure Lagos APC never loses an election again.

“ TMM is very solid it can vote and win elections. It is quite unfortunate that we lost Lagos during the presidential election but it will never happen again because Asiwaju is going for a second term.”

He advised adherent members of the group to continue working for the success of the party as they will reap their hard work, noting that the group has gained recognition.

“The restructuring and rebranding of the group is for the attainments of its new goal, members who work selflessly will be rewarded.”

The Deputy Apex Leader, Kolawole Peregrino, urged Nigerians to give the present administration time to fix the economy, acknowledging that Nigerians were going through economic hardship.

“Tinubu is working hard to reposition the country’s economy and restore its lost glory.

“ the major call of the meeting is for members to recruit more people. Let’s follow the rules and guidance of the group. Those who have the feeling that they will be removed from the renewed mandate, we assure you, that will not happen. All we want is your loyalty to the mandate.”

Mrs. Fumilayo Tejuosho said TMM is in support of the progress of Nigeria and the plight is to make sure things get better.

“Let’s go and mobilise people. We are the president’s representative and must tell people to be patient because Rome was not built a day.

“We cannot build Nigeria a day. It is a gradual process and by the grace of God, President Tinubu would move Nigeria to a greater height. “Our president is a man of honour, he feels the pain and wants to make Nigeria great again. We have confidence in him and that is why we can stand proudly today to say we are the mandate.”

She assured that very soon, the naira will perform very well to drown the dollar.

“We are very confident that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the right plan. The measures he used to make Lagos State great is the same method that he will use to make Nigeria great and he is using it.

“We can see that he does not tolerate any form of corruption, wherever there is news of corruption, he moves immediately. He is not sentimental at all, he is bent on moving Nigeria forward. Let do work, let go to our various local government and mobilized people, we mandate are great mobilisers,” she said.
