NAHCON directs State Pilgrims Boards to prepare for Hajj 2022

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has directed the Muslim pilgrims welfare boards and agencies across the states to immediately commence preparations for Hajj 2022.

The directive was given by NAHCON Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan on Wednesday in Abuja when the commission met with Executive Secretaries of the various pilgrims’ welfare boards, commission and agencies from across the country.

NAHCON hinged its decision on the outcome of communication received from Saudi Arabian authorities in respect of preparation for 2022 Hajj.

Alhaji Hassan said that unlike previous Hajj operations where foreign Hajj bodies actively participated in the pre Hajj preparations process, arrangements and preparations for this year’s Hajj may be handled by Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

NAHCON also directed the states agencies to migrate all pilgrims’ deposits to the Hajj Saving Scheme in Jaiz Bank in order to harmonize and streamline the process of Hajj 2022.
